Overview ======== Atomic Tanks is a game where you control a tank and attempt to blow up other tanks. The game consists of a set of rounds. At the start of each round, players have an opportunity to buy or sell weapons and defensive items. During each round, players take turns aiming and firing weap- ons. The last surviving tank wins the current round. Atomic Tanks is similar to the old DOS game "Scorched Earth". Enter the name you'd like to use and select a colour for your tank. That's all you need to do. Click the "Okay" button. Then click the "Back" button and, most importantly, click "Play" ! After you click "Play", you'll have a chance to select which tanks you'll be playing against. You can have anywhere from 2 to 10 tanks on the playing field at one time. Don't forget to select yourself! The next screen gives you a chance to buy weapons and defensive items. There's no perfect combination, so experiment a little. If you have enough money in the game, you can buy an item by left-clicking on its entry. You can also return an item (and get your money back) by right- clicking on an entry. When you're done shopping, click "Done". The final screen is where the action takes place. When it's your turn, aim and fire a weapon. These are the controls: Use the Tab key to select a weapon. Use the left and right arrow keys to aim the selected weapon. To adjust the speed (or power) to be used for the shot, use the up and down arrow keys. To fire the selected weapon, press the space bar. The current round ends when there's only one tank left. Credits ======= Atomic Tanks was written by Tom Hudson .
